First Love, Failed

She said she liked him; He liked her, too!

She said she loved him.

That was the end

This was written in response to The Trifecta Writing Challenge.  The weekend challenge was to write a story in three sentences.

This did happen to me.  But it was in Kindergarten.

Actually, he was the one running away. I guess he wasn't ready for that kind of commitment.

I can't decide whether I think she moved too fast or whether I think he was commitment shy. Or possibly both.

Thanks for joining up with this week's Trifextra Challenge. Your response got a smile out of me. It is, indeed, a complete story, isn't it? I like the way it ends with, literally, "the end." Sort of a commentary on the story itself. Nicely done. Hope to see you back on Monday for the weekday prompt.
